Dr Tobias Trinks delivers exceptional anaesthesia to patients undergoing a broad range of surgical procedures. He has a special interest in ears, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions, as well as hyperbaric medicine. He is passionate about working in procedural environments where he can use his knowledge of acute medicine to provide hands-on support.

Dr Trinks completed his State Exam in Medicine and Doctoral Dissertation in 2004 at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. In 2014, he became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA). Later, in 2016, he graduated from South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society (SPUMS) with a Diploma in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine. He also received a Graduate Certificate of Aeromedical Retrieval in 2017 from James Cook University.

Dr Trinks completed his training at various facilities across Australia and Germany, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, the Clinic of Bayreuth, Launceston General Hospital, Townsville General Hospital, Mackay Base Hospital, and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He has also worked as a Retrieval Physician for Life Flight in Queensland and as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and Griffith University.

When Dr Trinks is not working for River City Anaesthesia, he works as a Staff Specialist in Anaesthetics at Logan Hospital and as a Staff Specialist and Visiting Medical Practitioner in Hyperbaric Medicine at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Wesley Hyperbarics.
