Dr Hannah Bellwood provides high-quality anaesthesia across a wide range of surgical specialties. Her clinical areas of interest included anaesthesia for general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology and plastic surgery. She prides herself on delivering compassionate, holistic care to her patients during the perioperative period.

Dr Bellwood grew up in North Queensland, and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2013 from James Cook University. She completed a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching from the University of Melbourne in 2020, and became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) in 2022.

Dr Bellwood undertook specialty training across South East Queensland. She has worked at Logan Hospital, Toowoomba Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital. She completed tertiary fellowships in Upper Gastrointestinal Anaesthesia at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and in General and Obstetric Anaesthesia at the Mater Hospital Brisbane. Currently, she works as a staff specialist at Logan Hospital.

Dr Bellwood is passionate about quality patient care and has published on her quality improvement activities. She is committed to quality training, mentoring and education, holding an Associate Lecturer position at The University of Queensland, and is active in advocacy and professional development with the college and the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA).
