Dr Danielle Scott delivers excellent anaesthetic care to patients for all stages of surgery. Drawing upon her extensive experience, she optimises a treatment plan based on pre-operative assessment, ensures patients are safe and comfortable during their procedure, and helps with post-operative pain management.

Dr Scott’s special interest areas are anaesthesia for ear nose and throat (ENT) surgery, general surgery, and obstetrics and gynaecology. Helping patients feel relaxed and giving them the best experience possible are the things she values most about her job.

Dr Scott graduated with multiple degrees from The University of Queensland in 2013: a Bachelor of Science majoring in biomedical Science, and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. She was motivated to pursue a career in anaesthetics because she enjoyed the practical application of physiology and pharmacology that the job entails.

Dr Scott undertook all her anaesthetic training in South East Queensland and has worked at Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH), Robina Hospital, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital and Logan Hospital. She completed her fellowship at GCUH, also receiving a Merit Certificate for the fellowship examination in 2020. She became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2022 and currently works as a staff specialist at Logan Hospital.

Dr Scott’s favourite way to spend time outside of work is with her young children, and running when she has the chance to get out of the house.
